Eclipse TD307 Mk3
Product Code: ECL013
ex-vat: £ 495.83
The Eclipse TD307 Mk3 replaces the hugely successful TD307 Mk2. At the heart of the new MK3 is a high-performance 6.5 cm full-range fiberglas drive unit, and a larger neodymium main and sub-magnet system for greater power and more precise bass.
The iconic ovoid cabinet now has a greater volume, which now moves a greater volume of air. Other improvements include a new, improved terminal arrangement that accepts both bare wire and banana-terminated speaker cables, and a new cable-routing design to accommodate and hide larger cables.
The speaker can be mounted on a wall or ceiling without the need for a special bracket. Integrated angle adjustment provides -25 to 30 degrees of movement.
The “TD” in each speakers model designation stands for “Time Domain” technology, which represents a fundamental re-engineering of speaker design, both in terms of form and function, and which is intended to maintain the time and phase integrity of the source recording and to have no acoustic signature itself.
Fundamental to TD technology is the use of a single, high-precision driver, housed in a egg-shaped rear-vented enclosure made of rigid material with the strength and density of marble. The driver is designed to “float” within the enclosure.
Since their introduction, Eclipse speakers have swept the music industry, becoming the speakers of choice for many professionals, including musician/record producer Brian Eno, guitarist John Williams, and composer Michael Nyman.
Price shown is for a pair of speakers. Available in high gloss white or black.
With an amplifier of at least moderate power, Eclipse speakers present music with transparency, unprecedented clarity, unaffected by resonances, colorations or time and phase distortion effects. Magical.
