Supra Sword XLR Interconnects
Product Code: JSW001XLR
ex-vat: £ 466.67
Supra Sword XLR interconnects use the same technology of the company’s hugely successful speaker cables, which Roy Gregory, editor of Hi-Fi Plus, compared to the far more expensive, benchmark-setting Nordost Valhalla cables: “Right from the first notes played through the Sword it was obvious that it was more than happy in this company.”
The design consists of bifilar wound litz conductors, each comprising 12 individually insulated wires. The bifilar winding is built with six of these wires helically wound in one direction and six in the opposite direction. Supra says this construction divides the magnetic field into opposing directions resulting in a non-inductive and phase stable cable.
The two cables in each pair are linked by a wooden boss which keeps the cables together and also serves as a signal direction indicator.
Price shown for a one-metre balanced set with XLR terminations. Other standard lengths are 0.8 m and 1.5 m. Please contact us for longer lengths.
“The Sword cables are transparent and extremely dynamic, detailed and impressively solid in their presentation…. A genuinely neutral and musically authoritative combination, these cables are genuinely high-end performers at what should be considered distinctly real-world prices. Leave aside the lack of brand name kudos; leave aside the “ice-blue” corporate colouring; leave aside the fact that they won’t empty your kids’ education account. Sit back and enjoy some of the best sound available, safe in the knowledge that you’ve stolen yourself a bargain.”
“Bass is seriously strong and clean, but there’s no artificial bloom. Midband is translucent, with a light, airy, spacious, widescreen presentation and treble gloriously crips and delicate…. Dynamically it’s also bold and powerful, whilst never losing it—if ever there was a cable that suited the phrase ‘grace under pressure’, this is it.”
