Scheu Cello Classic Timbre
Product Code: SCT012
ex-vat: £ 1,875.00
The Scheu Cello Classic Timbre is a classic, rectangular-base turnable with an outboard motor. The double-layered base is constructed of multiple layers of wood and special absorption materials, veneered with real wood, and is then topped by a thick layer of slate. It measures 450W x 350D x 50H cm, with the slate adding an another 20 cm thickness. Total unit weight is a massive 25 kg.
The outboard motor, a vibration-free DC unit from the Premier range, has a switch for 33⅓ and 45 RPM speeds. Both speeds can be fine-tuned for accuracy. As with other Scheu turntables, a nylon string drives the platter, which is 30 mm thick and weighs 2.7 kg.
The Cello Classic Timbre does not include a tonearm or cartridge, unlike its siblings in the Cello Classic range, but does include a Scheu (similar to Rega) tonearm mount. We’d recommend a Scheu Cantus (shown) or Tacco II tonearm, plus a top-end cartridge, like the Scheu MC Ruby 3 cartridge. Other tonearms (9-inch only) and cartridges can, of course, be accommodated.
This is a special order item, with a delivery time of about two to four weeks.
A reference deck with a beautiful classic look.
