Returning to vinyl
If you used to play LPs, but haven't in years, today's vinyl record scene will amaze you.
Record-playing equipment has
never been of such excellent quality or value. Even at modest budget levels, you'll be able to retrieve those LPs
you've been storing (you have kept them, haven't you?), and surprise yourself
by how great they sound.
Music lovers of all ages, including those who may not have been born when CDs took over as the dominant audio format, are getting into vinyl records.
LP
sales
are growing. 45s have reappeared. The major labels are offering new releases
on vinyl, and small audiophile labels are reissuing classic jazz, rock,
classical and other recordings on new vinyl. Used records are cheap and
widely available.
Whatever your analogue needs or budget, you'll find everything you need in our Gear section, including the phenomenal Clearaudio Champion (left). Of course, you may always call us at 0800 043 6710 or email us with your comments or questions.
If your hi-fi system is of recent vintage, you may need a phono stage—find out in our What you'll need section.
